January 12, 2024 – Soft Launch: First Walkers Lounge Opens in NYC
After months of prep, the very first Johnnie Walkers lounge opened its doors on Bowery Street in downtown Manhattan. The space blends high-end gaming PCs, a full cocktail bar, and a relaxed atmosphere where you can play solo, squad up, or just hang out.
Visitors on opening weekend got early access to our custom drinks menu, a small Valorant bracket, and retro game night with GoldenEye 007 and Tekken 3 running on original hardware.
“We wanted a place where people could game and drink without neon overload or esports pressure,” said co-founder Ethan Roe. “More like a bar that happens to have sick rigs.”
September 28, 2024 – Walkers x Steam LAN Party Hits Seattle
Our Seattle location hosted its first full-scale Steam Weekend LAN, with over 60 attendees playing co-op hits like Left 4 Dead 2, Payday 3, and BattleBit Remastered on local servers.
The event also featured:
- Local-brewed collab beer: “Cache Rush Pale Ale”
- On-site modding workshop (someone installed Thomas the Tank Engine in Skyrim mid-round)
- Live DJ set powered by in-house playlists built by the community
Winners of the LAN mini-tournament got branded mechanical keyboards and a month of free PC time.
